Every year, 5 Points hosts a parade to kick off the day-long celebration. We didn't make it last year due to the rain and cold, but the morning gave birth to an almost perfect day. We parked in front of Za's (our normal location.) We met up with friends, the Kings, Tibshranys and Robinsons. It was a crowd of excited little boys!

The parade kicked off with members of the armed forces and a band, but the floats were definite winners. The boys kept pointing out everything they saw and were even more excited when people walking by would hand them candy, stickers, and necklaces...yes, necklaces! Hey it's party...who doesn't need some extra bling!
The Basset Hound rescue group was adorable...Bowman was quite taken with all dogs. He even had to let out a few "woofs!"

I must have just missed ya'll - we were basically in front of Half Moon Outfitters, but on the other side of the road (in the sun!)! Darn, it would have been nice to have caught up! The parade was nice and so much better than last year, which we did attend in the cold and rain!! I'll do anything to get out of the house on a Saturday since Chris is working!
