Wow! How times have changed!!
To ring in the New Year, Craig and I spent a quiet night at home with the boys. We decided to make it a special night for Porter, and I'm hoping this is the beginning of a family tradition. After dinner and tub time, we dressed Porter in his jammies and sat him down for his "special treat": CHOCOLATE FONDUE!!
We served it with strawberries, pineapple and bananas. Porter could hardly wait to get things started!
Of course, I was willing to demonstrate the proper way to eat fondue. As they say, a mother's work is never done! :)
Porter picked up on everything immediately. He was very careful with his fondue forks, and he never attempted to touch the candle under the bowl. I honestly think he was too distracted by all the chocolate...can you blame him??

I think Porter's favorite combo was chocolate and bananas. He dug right in and wasn't afraid to make a mess!!
The fun didn't end there...Porter was pretty much covered in chocolate, so after a wipe down and new pair of jammies, we got him ready for the rest of his surprise. Craig set up the sleeping bag Porter got for Christmas from Santa, and we finished off the evening with "Family Movie Night." The evening's selection: TOY STORY!!
