Saluda Splash

Today Porter and I had a playdate with Adair and Mac King. We decided to take the boys to the Saluda Shoals Splash Zone. They had a great time running through the water...but they were both a little concerned when water sprang up out of nowhere. The park also had a wonderful covered playground right next to the Splash Zone. The boys ran in between both areas for over 2 hours. Guess that's why Porter ended up taking a 3-hour nap!!!

Porter's graceful dismount!
Enjoying a little snack!!

Carolina Football

Thursday, August 28 marked the 1st game of Carolina football. We opened against N.C. State on ESPN. The much talked about rain held off, and the night proved to be rather enjoyable...especially when it ended with a shutout victory. Here's hoping this is only the beginning of a winning Carolina season!!

Weekends at the Riverbanks Zoo

Porter's never too sure about these iron animals!

Riding the Riverbanks CHOO CHOO!!

One of the most popular gifts we received last Christmas was a Family Membership to the Riverbanks Zoo from Craig's parents. We've taken Porter there many times, and he loves every minute we're there. It's been so much fun watching him recognize more and more animals by name...he actually has most of them down, but still insists on calling monkeys "ah-ahs" after the noises they make! Craig and I took him again last weekend; we had a great morning!!

Pregnancy...the 2nd time around!

12 weeks and counting....
24 weeks and counting...

10 weeks left and counting!! That's all we have left before we meet the newest member of our family. These past few months have flown by...in fact, I often feel like I don't have enough time to finish everything that needs to be done. But, Baby Boy Rummel will be arriving soon...probably before we know it. This pregancy has been completely different from my 1st; from nausea to sleeplessness to my constant inability to keep any information in my head, I have watched these weeks fly by and often wonder how I will get everything ready before he arrives. Craig and I are definitely ready for the challenge, and we know 2 wild boys will make this house insane. I cannot wait for Porter to meet his baby brother; in fact, my favorite part of my day is when he looks at my belly and says, "HI BABY!!" He'll be here before we know, and I promise to keep all of you updated on our progress.

Getting Started

Well, I have finally entered the BLOG-AGE...so many of my friends keep me up to date on their lives this way. With friends and family ALL over the country, I decided to join in the fun. But, please bear with me...I'm still getting used to all this stuff. In fact, my entires will most likely start out few and far between. I look forward to keeping all of you updated on our growing family. AND, if anyone has any words of wisdom or hints when it comes to these things, by all means HOOK A GIRL UP!!!!
