Today, Craig and I went to my 35-week appointment. We were scheduled for an ultrasound since the baby had measured on the larger end on previous ultrasounds. Bowman O'Neil (yes, we've decided on a name!) weighed in today at 6 lbs. All in all, he's measuring about 1 1/2 weeks ahead, and my doctor feels as though everything is moving along nicely. His heartrate was 151 bpm, and for the first time in 35 weeks, I had no weight gain...hard to believe! My appointments will now be once a week...we'll just have to wait and see how soon this little man is ready to make his appearance.

PORTER IS 2!!!!
Two years ago today, Craig and I welcomed Porter Monroe into the world. We've watched him grow into quite the little man...in fact, so much has changed just in the past year! Porter now has a full head of blond curls...I thank my father and Craig's mother for that! He talks a mile a minute, and is fascinated by just about anything. He has developed a love for all vehicles, from trains to dump trucks. He loves doing art projects, including decorating our driveway with sidewalk chalk and playing with Playdoh. And, he cannot get enough of animals...visits to the zoo are always days well spent. Porter definitely has some favorites: "Good Night Moon" has to be read every night, "Blue's Clues" and Sesame Street are requested daily, and he absolutely loves being outside. Craig and I consider ourselves extremely lucky to be the parents of this special guy...can't wait to see what the next year brings!!! October 2007

September Babes
Porter and his cousin Maylee are lucky enough to share the same birthday month, which means a fun celebration with Grammy and Pop-Pop. This morning, we headed over to Chapin for a party, complete with balloons, cake and ice cream. Porter opens his gift from Uncle Jonathan, Aunt Anna, and Maylee
Maylee's GREAT BIG DINOSAUR!!
Porter's always willing to lend a helping hand when it comes to opening presents
It's a rocket from Aunt Leslie!
We had so much fun celebrating Maylee's 4th birthday...and we cannot believe Porter will be 2 in less than a week. Both kids are growing up too fast, and before we know it, a 3rd little one will be in the mix!

Our Little Gamecock
We decided Wofford vs. SC would be the perfect introduction for Porter to Carolina football. Craig and I had been talking about the "tee-tocks" all week, so when the big day rolled around, Porter was very excited!!
Gameday turned out to be near-perfect conditions. The weather was beautiful, the crowds were bearable, and Carolina pulled out a victory...though it wasn't the prettiest win we've ever seen. Porter even had some playmates at tailgate -- Jon and Amy Dancer brought their two boys, Nate and Nicholas, along for the fun!
Waiting for Cocky with Grampa Bud!
Amy and Nicholas cheer for the Gamecocks!!!
We left at half-time...it seems 30 minutes of football was all our little man could tolerate. Of course, we did stop on the way out to hear the Marine Corps hymn in honor of Grampa Bud. Craig and I were very impressed with how well Porter did at his first game...can't wait to take him again!

Puppet Play
Today, Porter and I joined some friends at the Columbia Marionette Theatre for their performance of "The Wizard of Oz." I wasn't sure how Porter would act during a play, but he loved every minute of it. In fact, for the 30 minute performance, he sat on my lap and just stared at the stage...I guess he was in awe! It was a really fun way to spend the morning. We can't wait to go to their next performance! Sarah and Porter play in the "Emerald City."
Waiting their turn to meet the puppeteer
Showing off Glinda the Good Witch
Porter tries his hand at being a Puppet Master
Sarah checks out the stage

Tons of Fun
Today, Porter and I joined some friends at the grand opening of the MY GYM at the Villages of Sandhill. It was a morning well spent, as the kids played non-stop for over 2 hours. Porter, Amanda, and Sarah tried out everything...and kept going back for more. We practically had to drag them out of there for lunch. My guess is we'll all be returning there very soon!! Fun in the ball pit!
Much like in daycare, Porter and Amanda are obviously up to no good!!!
Sarah checks out the activity mats.
Porter in the castle.
Porter tries out the uneven bars with some help from a friend!!
WEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Amanda tackles the bridge...
The morning ended with a yummy lunch at Red Robin...balloons and mac n' cheese for all! We can't wait to do it again!!!!
